Medical assistance for Turkey & Syria

Miles2Smile is delivering supplies to earthquake survivors in Turkiye and Syria through a coordinated effort with the government embassy and local collaborative partners. As of today, we have already dispatched two lots of the most essential relief supplies consisting of Thermal Tents, Sleeping bags, Inflatable Pillow, Long overcoats, Folding Chairs, Blankets, Shawls, Snow Boots, Baby Diapers, Sanitary Pads, Woolen mats, Baby feeding bottles, Thermos, and warm wearables. “Miles2Smile and its local collaborative partners are among the first responders to the urgent need arising in the disaster-hit regions.” According to officials, the earthquake and its aftershocks have left more than one million people on the streets in freezing temperatures. And ever since we saw the first picture of the tragic aftermath, our hearts go out to the people who have been affected by this deadly disaster. In light of our ongoing discussions with authorities and local partners regarding the nature of our support, we have been informed of an immediate need for generators and medical equipment by the consulate general of Turkiye since the Hospitals, and health facilities in the region are lacking the most essential items. The window of time to save lives is rapidly narrowing, so alongside the emergency response, we are activating another campaign to ensure continuity of care to the most vulnerable. “Not everyone can treat patients in the field. But everyone can do something”. Miles2Smile is ready to mobilize its emergency capacities, even though we are not working inside Türkiye & Syria. Unrestricted support from all of you will allow us to mobilize quickly and efficiently to provide lifesaving medical care to the people who need it most, whether those needs are in the spotlight or not. And your donations are tax-deductible as per 80(G)

Call for Donations- For earthquake survivors in Turkey

Since we received numerous requests from people asking if they could assist the survivors in earthquake hit Turkey, we have decided to communicate with the Turkish embassy and arrange for a fundraising campaign. Today, we found out that the Turkish embassy in Delhi released a message on their website saying it will collect blankets, clothes and other materials and fly them “in a speedy and prioritized manner” to Turkey. As a community, we felt it is our sacred obligation to extend support to all people who have survived this disaster. According to the reports from the region, close to 10,000 people have lost their lives and many are still under the rubble and are yet to be found. Thousands of people are homeless in cold weather conditions or they cannot enter their homes. Your urgent support and assistance to earthquake victims are very important and vital. Every Rupees counts and all donations will amplify the recovery efforts. Please help us spread the word. We are accepting donations both in cash and in kind to provide for the immediate needs of the hundreds of those families affected by the earthquakes in Turkey.
