What does winter feel like to you? For many of us winter is associated with warm blankets, cozy rooms, steaming cups of hot tea, and vistas as beautiful as our lives. Meanwhile, for countless children it is a season synonymous with trembling hands, cold feet, and heavy hearts. These children quite often choose between sleep and shivering, wrapping themselves with shawls too thin to pierce the biting, chilling waves. These children are not a part of any fictional stories or hidden tales; they live close enough to us that their struggles breathe the same air as we do. They live under the roofs of our madrassa established in Nuh and Delhi, their only place, their safe space. At Miles2Smile, we aim to provide them not only education but also care, love, and warmth. We see their struggles as ours. Their shivering hands shake our souls. Their cold feet tremble our hearts.
