Help us Repair & Rebuild Jama Masjid at Warwan

On 26th August, Warwan valley in Kashmir witnessed a devastating cloudburst. Around 4.00 pm families fled their homes in panic, by the time storm passed and they returned back to their homes, nature had left behind a trial of calamity for them. Among the many places affected was The Jama Masjid. It stood buried under mud and huge stones. Its mic, mats and basic facilities were ruined. The imam of the mosque shared with us, with tears in his eyes that they have nothing to eat, nowhere to sleep and are forced to spend night in the damp mud. With harsh winters approaching they live with constant questions : “Do we save our lives or save our place of worship?” The second floor of mosque where 400 people offer their Jummah, now has cracked walls and weak pillars. Everytime people pray, they fear the wooden floor beneath them might break. This community mosque urgently needs your support in preservation before winter sets in. We need to replace ruined items. And support the imam and many other families who have no food and shelter right now.
