Jammu & Kashmir, landslide Relief & Rehabilitation 2025
In the past months, we have witnessed incredible generosity of people across India who came forward to support flood-hit Punjab. Relief poured in and lives were saved because communities chose compassion over indifference. But now, we need to go further. In the beautiful mountains of Jammu & Kashmir, heavy rains have triggered massive landslides leaving entire families without homes, food, and basic medical care. The crisis is unfolding right now - Jamslan, Jammu 70 families affected Needs - Ration, Medical Aid, Shelter - Bagga, Jammu 24 families affected Needs – Shelter, Ration, Medical; Aid - Margi, Warwan (Kashmir) 300 families affected Needs – Immediate Shelter, Ration, Medical Aid At Miles2Smile Foundation, we are moving our teams from Punjab to Jammu & Kashmir to ensure no one is left behind. Our plan includes :- 1. Shelter • Tents, tarpaulins, bedding, blankets, mosquito nets. • Safe spaces with lighting and basic security. 2. Food & Ration Kits • Kits with rice, flour, pulses, oil, spices, sugar, tea. • Special items for children (milk, baby food), women (nutritional supplements), and elderly (easy-to-digest foods). • Community kitchens and clean drinking water. 3. Medical Aid • Mobile health camps for injuries and general treatment. • Medicines, ORS, vaccination, hygiene and sanitation kits. • Focused care for women, children, elderly, and chronically ill. But this doesn’t stop here, transportation is extremely costly. Delivering aid to remote hilly pockets requires smaller vehicles, multiple trips, and extra handling, which significantly raises expenses. That’s why this mission needs you now, more than ever!
