Hunar is an initiative of Miles2Smile, dedicated to fostering meaningful skill development among young children and bridging the gap between education and employability. The program is built on the belief that every child possesses unique talents, and when nurtured in the right environment, these abilities can shape their future and empower them to become independent, confident contributors to society. At Hunar, the primary focus is to cultivate a generation of creative thinkers, artists, and young professionals who can express themselves freely and develop practical skills that extend beyond traditional academic learning. We believe that every society thrives when its children are encouraged to think independently, innovate, and explore their full potential.

Sabaat is a dedicated stitching centre and women’s empowerment initiative by Miles2Smile, launched in the aftermath of the 2020 Delhi riots. By providing skills, safe workspace, and steady income opportunities, Sabaat nurtures resilience and long-term empowerment, enabling women affected by conflict and marginalisation to reclaim their agency and rebuild their lives with pride and hope.

On 15th December 2021, a devastating fire swept through Ferozepur Namak village in Haryana, destroying 30 shanties and leaving over 100 people homeless. The tragedy caused deep loss and hardship for the affected families. While basic needs were gradually restored, one essential aspect remained missing i.e. education. Recognizing this need, the Shaagird Foundation set up the Fatima Al-Fihri Learning Center for children living in the refugee camp at Nuh. Inaugurated on January 21, 2021, the center has since enrolled hundreds of students. It provides quality education in English, Hindi, Urdu, mathematics, and science, offering children hope and a path to a better future.
