Rashida Bee was a resident at Ghore Shah Wali in Sendhwa. In the aftermath of the Sendhwa riots, her house was bulldozed to the ground. With her grandson in jail & nothing to sustain herself, she couldn't fast for 5 days as she had nothing to eat in sehar & Iftaar. This fundraiser will help in easing out her pain.

Siraj Bi is a resident of Talab Chowk, the area which was the starting point of the Khargone Riots. She used to make garlands to sustain her family. The Hindutva mob on the killing spree looted her house and set it on fire. All her saving that she kept for the marriage of her daughter was lost in the fire too. Ibris (Saddam) was just 26 yrs old and was working as a daily laborer in Kahrgone Municipality. He is survived by his wife and a year old son named Luqman. Though he was killed on April 10 at the first day of the violence but his body was handed over to the family on April 18. In the entire week, the family ran from pillar to post to get about his whereabouts.

Usman had a tailoring shop at Boora Batasha Market at Karauli in Rajasthan. On April 2, 2022, a Hindutva mob celebrating the shobha yatra resorted to full-scale anti-Muslim riots. Usman's shop was looted & burnt while his Hindu neighbor's shop was left untouched. The shop was the only source of livelihood for him. This fundraiser will try to bring back his business.

At the extreme corner In the Chaudhry Pada in Karauli , Rajasthan, Irfan had a garment shop. It was one of the biggest shop in the entire market complex that houses 10 odd shops. Irfan's & Fakruddin's shops were the only 2 Muslim shops in the entire complex. It had goods worth Rs.35 lakhs. The Hindutva mob looted all the goods & set the shop on fire. The fundraiser will help Irfan rebuilt the shop and start his livelihood again.

Khatoon Bano & Sitara with a family of 10 & 16 members had a shop cum residence at Phootakot Bazar, Karauli, Rajasthan. The family had been running the bangle shop for some 300 years at the same place. Khatoon Bano said that its the 6th generation that is selling the bangle at the same place. During the anti Muslim violence on April 2, 2022, the entire of her shop cum residence was gutted in the fire. The family now has nowhere to stay and no source of livelihood. This fundraiser will help Khatoon Bano & Sitara's family to construct their houses & start their business again.

Najmuddin had a small shop selling dry fruits & spices at Boora Batasha Gali , Karauli, Rajasthan. It was the evening of April 2, 2022 when a Hindutva mob attacked his shop , looted some of the items and burnt the entire remaining. Najmuddin has 3 daughters and a boy, all studying at a nearby school. The family of 6 were dependent on the shop for their livelihood. With the shop gone, a part of Najmuddin's hope seems bleak and dark. The current fundraiser would help Najmuddin in starting his livelihood.

Waheed Khan had his tailoring cum embroidery shop on rent at the Sarrafa Bazar area. The mob not only looted all the machines but also set the whole complex on fire. The family with 12 dependent persons on the single shop had been running the shop for the past 48 years. With the money being raised, we plan to settle back the dignified livelihood of Waheed Khan.

Sunrise Public School is a non-profit, relief institution located in Loni, Ghaziabad. It was established by Miles2Smile Foundation primarily for the victims of the Delhi Pogrom 2020. Scores of people were displaced from their homes in Northeast Delhi and the children could not go back to schools. Also, due to the COVID-induced lockdown, many victim families struggled with digital transition due to challenges around household access to digital devices. Our effort with the school has The effort has enabled as many as 300 students back to classrooms so far. This fundraiser will help in running the school annually.
